Farm Unit Co-Investment

The iSolar farm units are part of the net positive technologies offered by iSonom. These are operated by members of iSocieties and form the tools for regional regeneration and restoration in order to establish self-sustainability in ecosystems and communities.

Households get together and participate as members in iSocieties (ΚοινΣΕπ*).

Members co-invest in the lease of iSolar farm units and are educated in the generation of solar+wind energy, as well as the production and processing of food that is free of synthetic pesticides.

Members enjoy a short return on investment from the revenues on energy, vegetables and fish, as well as net profit participations for the lifetime of the unit, which are allocated pro rata from the net proceeds of the regional e-marketplaces for the best performing units.

Agrivoltaics

Agrivoltaic technology from a Greek manufacturer, generating sufficient energy for feeding the iSolar unit and two households with electricity. The solar energy can be supplemented by two or more omnidirectional wind turbines, serving energy to at least another household.

Aquaponics

Proven aquaponics technology, combining aquaculture and aeroponics. Vegetable crop productivity up to 6 times higher per m2 than soil cultivation, using 90% less water. The natural fish waste providing essential nutrients to the crops.

Installation, education & technical support

iSonom provides for the installation of iSolar farm units and training of the farmers on aquaponics farming techniques and use of iSolar technology.
In addition, iSolar farmers have access to continuous support for any issues (technical, plant & fish growth etc.), as well as support on revenue growth and profit optimisation.

Product Development

iSocieties, through their regional physical and electronic hubs, provide for the processing and distribution of local food items 'Farm to Fork'. This mechanism ensures distinct standards of high quality, fresh, and year-long available food free of synthetic pesticides.
In addition, iSolar products provide the basis for new food offerings, developed in combination with other local food ingredients. These include meal kits with recipes from local HoReCa chefs, as well as fresh healthy snacks using iSolar fish.
